Hyundai Motor Company won four awards at the "2020 GOOD DESIGN" awards. Recognized as one of the oldest design awards in the world, the organization crowned the brand's two most advanced electric concepts, 45 and Prophecy, the New Elantra and the Hyundai Hi-Charger, the ultra-fast electric vehicle charging infrastructure, in the transportation category.

First introduced at the 2019 Frankfurt International Auto Show, the 45 EV concept is described as a homage to Hyundai's iconic Pony Coupe. The stylistic monocoque style of the Hyundai 45 was inspired by airplanes. This stylish and modern design is complemented by its diamond-shaped silhouette.

Hyundai 45 managed to attract attention in other world-renowned design competitions, including the 2020 International Design Excellence Awards, the 2020 Red Dot Design Awards and the 2020 iF Design Award. IONIQ, Hyundai's new sub-brand, will also launch its first exclusive EV model based on the 45 concept.

Prophecy, another EV concept of Hyundai, brought a different perspective to the brand with its visionary design features. This concept model, which is a representative of the Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy, won the "Best of the Best" award in the Design Concept group of the 2020 Red Dot Awards and was selected as a finalist for the 2020 International Design Excellence Awards.

Another big prize was the New Elantra, which was unveiled earlier this year. The seventh generation Elantra offers a futuristic and innovative look and feel thanks to its "Parametric Dynamics" design elements. Offering an unusual family car look, the car can experience different sensations at the same time with its modern and sporty lines.

Hyundai Hi-Charger is a completely new charging service that the brand offers to EV owners. This system, together with a 350kW ultra-fast charger, allows electric cars to be charged in a very short time. In addition to the award it received from Good Design, Hyundai Hi-Charger also achieved an important success in the "User Experience Design" category at the 2020 Red Dot Design Awards.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, the GOOD DESIGN award organization plays an important role in purchasing processes by identifying brands that attract attention with their innovations in design and production.
