Hyundai Motor Company is preparing to produce its first model under the name of its new sub-brand IONIQ. The IONIQ 5, the first model of the BEV series, which will be officially introduced very recently, has all the features of a CUV. Starting a new era of mobility with the IONIQ brand, Hyundai will first use the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), an innovative system specially produced for advanced battery-powered electric vehicles, in this model.

Among the new design features of the IONIQ 5 are Parametric Pixels and an environmentally friendly Color Material Coating (CMF) that combines analog and digital emotions. The front of IONIQ 5 is covered with a new generation lighting system that symbolizes digital technology. The engine hood of the IONIQ 5 also covers the front, minimizing panel gaps. Unlike conventional electric cars, the IONIQ 5 can be charged externally, as well as transferring the power from its batteries to another vehicle or used as a general power supply (110 / 220V). In addition, the IONIQ 5 can travel more than 5 km with just a 100-minute charge (WLTP Standard). In this way, it can make a difference as one of the rare EV cars in the world with ultra-fast charging capability.

IONIQ 5 will be unveiled with an online world premiere in February.
