The first delivery of ATAK FAZ-2 helicopters is planned to be made in 2021.
The final statement about ATAK PHASE-2, whose qualification tests have been completed, was made by SSB Prof. Dr. It was made by İsmail Demir. Meeting with members of the press on Monday, January 11, 2021, Demir made statements about the systems that are planned to be delivered to the security forces in 2021. Demir stated that the first helicopter produced by TAI within the scope of ATAK PHASE-2 is planned to be delivered.
The first flight of the ATAK FAZ-2 helicopter was successfully carried out at TAI facilities in November 2019. The FAZ-129 version of T2 ATAK, equipped with laser warning receiver and electronic warfare systems, successfully performed its first flight in November 2019 and qualification tests were initiated. The first delivery of ATAK FAZ-2 helicopters, whose domestic rate is increasing, will be made in 2021.
Iraqi Defense Minister Jumaah Enad Saadoonn arrived in Ankara for official contacts on 28 December 2020. During his visit to Saadoonn, he also visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facilities and received information about the products. In the images shared by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense regarding the trip, it was seen that the ATAK Phase-2 helicopter was on the serial production line.
Within the scope of the T129 ATAK project carried out by the Presidency Defense Industry Presidency, 57 ATAK helicopters produced by Turkish Aerospace Industries-TUSAŞ were delivered to the security forces. TAI delivered 51 ATAK helicopters to the Land Forces Command, and 6 ATAK helicopters to the Gendarmerie General Command. 2 of the ATAK PHASE-21 configuration will be delivered at the first stage.
A total of 59 T32 ATAK Helicopters will be delivered to the Turkish Land Forces, 91 of which are definite, 24 of which are optional, and a total of 3 T27 ATAK helicopters, 129 of which are optional, to the Ministry of Interior.

Avionics Central Control Computer (AMKB)
Avionic Central Control Computer (AMKB) is a mission computer that enables the management of avionic systems from a single center and reduces workload by supporting the pilot with its advanced processing capability during the task.
AMKB interfaces and performance features can be easily scaled according to platform and application features, thanks to its modular hardware and software architecture. With its large memory infrastructure, high processing and performance capacity and interface variety, it enables the pilot to perform the task effectively.
The primary purpose of AMKB is the successful performance of the task. AMKB can operate in harsh environmental environments of fixed and rotary wing platforms thanks to its reliable, durable design and advanced cooling and thermal management techniques.
Thanks to the flexible and scalable industry standard open architectures and unique electronic design used in the design of the Avionic Central Control Computer, all kinds of user and platform requirements can be met.
AMKB Activities in ATAK Program
In the ATAK Program, the hardware and software of the Avionic Central Control Computer (AMKB) and the original development, integration, mass production, delivery and technical support activities of avionic and weapon systems are carried out by ASELSAN. In the project, system deliveries for one prototype helicopter, 9 Early Duhul Helicopters, 29 ATAK Phase-1 Helicopters and 21 ATAK Phase-2 Helicopters were completed in March 2020.
Integrated Central Control Computer (TMKB)
TMKB is a mission computer that enables the management of avionic systems from a single center and reduces the workload by supporting the pilot with its advanced processing capability during the task.
TMKB interfaces and performance features can be easily scaled according to platform and application features, thanks to its modular hardware and software architecture. With its large memory infrastructure, high processing and performance capacity and interface variety, it enables the pilot to perform the task effectively.
In addition to the mission, graphics and weapon systems management software / hardware on TMKB, the Mobile Digital Map and AVCI Helmet Integrated Control System electronic unit are also built-in.
Thanks to the flexible and scalable industry standard open architectures used in the design of the Integrated Central Control Computer and the original electronic cards designed by ASELSAN, additional capability and functionality requirements can be easily applied on TMKB.
The Integrated Central Control Computer developed for ATAK Phase-2 Helicopter and the “First Flight Tests” within the scope of ATAK Phase-2 Helicopter qualification were conducted in November 2019.
