The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu made a test drive with the B1,2, the first model of GÜNSEL, the first domestic car of TRNC, which was developed by Turkish engineers and designers with 9 million hours of labor at Near East University.

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu got behind the wheel of 100 percent electric GÜNSEL and tested the vehicle in the driving area of ​​GÜNSEL Production Facilities on the Near East University campus. During the test drive, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ertuğruloğlu was presented to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel was accompanied. Making a statement after the test drive, Ertuğruloğlu emphasized GÜNSEL's contribution to the promotion of TRNC in the world.

Stating that he received the news that GÜNSEL will employ nearly 100 production personnel to train, Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu said that GÜNSEL made a significant contribution to the promotion, economy and employment of the country and thanked those who contributed to this success and the Günsel Family.
