Tesla started to produce batteries with a brand new technology for the Model 3 made in China. According to the statement made by the company, lithium-ferrous phosphate batteries have the ability to charge much faster.
Tesla Model 3, produced for the local market in China, has a different battery than vehicles in other countries of the world. Tesla Model 3, manufactured here, is produced with lithium-ferrous phosphate batteries, unlike the lithium-ion batteries used in different countries of the world.
Some technical media reports that these batteries are charged in a shorter time than lithium-ion batteries, citing Chinese sites as a reference. The lithium-ferrous phosphate battery's charging / charging time from 40 percent to 99 percent is 3 minutes shorter than Tesla Model 20 vehicles in other countries, and ends in 42 minutes. These super fast battery recharges were carried out around Shanghai and at 25 degrees Celsius.
