Result of Çiğli Tram Construction Tender

Result of Çiğli Tramway Construction Tender; Cigli Tramway Construction Tender organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Rail Systems Department was held. 17 out of 6 prequalified companies submitted bids. After the evaluation of the tender commission, the winning company will be announced.

Çiğli Tramway tender, organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Rail Systems Department, was held with the participation of 8 companies. Six companies submitted bids in the tender held in the tender hall of the IZSU General Directorate and broadcast live on the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality website. Two companies submitted a thank you letter. The winning company will be announced within 20 days after the evaluation of the tender commission. If there is no objection within the 10-day objection period, the contract will be signed with the winning company.

Will be ready in two years

It is foreseen that the construction of the Çiğli Tramway line will start before the beginning of the year and will be completed in two years. Çiğli Tramway, which is a continuation of Karşıyaka Tram, will be 11 kilometers long and will consist of 14 stations. The line, which will start from Karşıyaka Beltway Station, will be connected to Çiğli İstasyonaltı Mahallesi with the connection bridge.

Bridge, pedestrian and bicycle paths

Approximately 500 meters long connection bridge will pass over the ring road. There will also be pedestrian and bicycle paths on the bridge. Most of the route was planned as a double line, passing through the middle medians of the existing streets and roads. New line; İZBAN Çiğli Station will serve Çiğli Regional Training Hospital, Ata Industry, Katip Çelebi University and Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone.
