Defense and Aviation Cooperation Protocol from SASAD and SSI

A cooperation protocol was signed between the Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters Association (SSI) and the Defense and Aviation Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD).

The cooperation protocol between the Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters Association (SSI) and the Defense and Aviation Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD) was signed by President of the Republic of Turkey, President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. It was signed in Ankara with a ceremony held in SSB under the auspices of İsmail DEMİR.

Turkish Presidency Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. In his speech at the ceremony, İsmail Demir said that the most important elements of sustainability are export and business generation by companies in global markets.

Stating that he finds this protocol signed for export activities very important, President Demir stated that the Export and Promotion Committee established by SASAD will move to another dimension.

Emphasizing that new export models, methods and initiatives should be discussed and new strategies should be determined at this point, President Demir said, “By doing the same things, you will get the same results. By doing something, we got certain results. If we want to cross a certain threshold, I believe that a strategy study should be done as the industry, stakeholders and SSB to sit down and see how we can do it better, what we can do differently and where we can reach. " said.

President Demir said, “We see important developments in the defense and aviation industry. These developments are not enough for us. We have important expectations especially in exports. I think this undertaking is an opportunity to sit down and study the methods of new export strategies. We have a full will to support and participate in these studies. I believe that it is necessary to roll up my sleeves and not leave this issue here and get to work. " he spoke.

The protocol aims to move the defense and aerospace industry to a better position than its current state, to find new markets for the country's defense and aviation industry products, or to increase the defense industry exports by improving their current market shares.

Naki Polat, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Öner Tekin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, signed the protocol on behalf of SSI.

The protocol also aims to strengthen the cooperation, coordination and sharing between SSI and SASAD.

Within the scope of the protocol, an executive committee will be established to identify the problem and development areas related to cooperation and implement the practices for solution.

The two organizations will share their unrestricted information and documents for use in studies that will help the development of the industry.

SSI and SASAD will attend and support each other's events and will act together in determining the problems of the sector and solution suggestions and in working towards solving these problems.

The two organizations will conduct joint training activities in order to use state incentives more effectively, to get information about new legislative changes and to inform SMEs about incentive practices.

The parties will share their corporate database subscriptions used for market research with each other for use in their studies.

Members of the committees established by SASAD and whose work is carried out will be recruited by SSI and active participation will be ensured in meetings and committee work, and the "Export and Promotion" committee established by SASAD will be re-formed under the chairmanship of SSI.

SASAD will convey information and documents to the SSI management about the work to be done with the European Aviation, Security and Defense Industry Association (ASD); SSI representatives will also attend ASD events and commission meetings.
