Work continues at the ASELSAN Weapon Systems Factory, which will make Konya one of the centers of the defense industry.
Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Konya Deputy Ziya Altunyaldız, AK Party Konya Provincial Chairman Hasan Angı and ASELSAN Chairman and General Manager Prof. Dr. Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, who made examinations in ASELSAN Konya Weapon Systems Factory and Huğlu Hunting Rifles Cooperative with Haluk Görgün, said that the factory is extremely important for Konya.
Stating that they put great effort in bringing the ASELSAN Weapon Systems Factory to Konya, President Altay said, “ASELSAN Factory will support our local industry, increase employment and make an important contribution to our city in becoming the center of the defense industry. When we are united as a city with the permission of Allah, there is no work we cannot overcome. I would like to thank all my fellow townsmen who share the same feelings and walk the same path and everyone who contributed. " said.
Noting that the factories in Huğlu and Üzümlü districts also export arms to more than 50 countries, Mayor Altay said, “Our Huğlu and Üzümlü Neighborhoods, which are our pride, are among the best in the world in this field. I wish success to all the personnel working in the factories in their work.
