An increase in the number of accidents was observed in İzmir. An above average traffic accident occurred in September. The inclusion of 125 thousand vehicles in the traffic during the pandemic period also increased the number. Thirteen of the 748 accidents that occurred have died.
THE MOST ACCIDENTS ON THE ROAD
The region where the most accidents occurred on the main roads was the ring roads. 128 accidents were reported in September in the section between Koyundere Junction and Güzelbahçe Junction. In this section, the section with the most accidents is Bayraklı It was between the Tunnels and Işıkkent Junction. On the other hand, 3 accidents occurred on Kemalpaşa Ring Road, Aydın Highway and Çeşme Highway.
ACCIDENTS IN THE ARTERIES
Many accidents also occurred in the arteries connecting the metropolitan districts of Izmir. Ankara Street led the way with 49 accidents. Especially EGEMAK Bridge attracted attention as one of the black spots. Yeşildere Street was one of the areas where 45 accidents and accidents occurred. 95 INJURED, 13 DEADLY ACCIDENTS
