It's a small rail vehicle. It is used to transport materials and workers in road repair. It runs on motor or human power. Some are light enough to be lifted by human power. A trailer is also attached to some of them in order to increase its carrying capacity. Today's drezins are equipped with gasoline engines. It is named after the German forest engineer KF Drais, who first built it (1817).
