Suna Kıraç Was Posted on Her Last Journey

Suna Kıraç, former Vice President of Koç Holding, was sent off on her last journey. Suna Kıraç, daughter of the late businessman Vehbi Koç and former Vice President of Koç Holding, was sent off on her last journey. The funeral prayer held for Kıraç at the Marmara University Theology Faculty Tatbikat Mosque in Altunizade brought together many people from the world of politics, business, sports and art. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who attended the funeral, said to the press members at the entrance of the mosque, “Thank you. Kıraç, who has been struggling with ALS since 2000, died yesterday. Kıraç was buried in the Family Cemetery in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.

Who is Suna Kıraç?

Suna Kıraç (Date of birth June 3, 1941, Ankara - Date of death September 15, 2020, Istanbul), Turkish businessperson and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koç Holding.

She graduated from Arnavutköy American Girls' College and then from Boğaziçi University, Department of Banking and Finance.

In 1999, Suna Kıraç was awarded an “Honorary Membership” by the London Business School for her outstanding management and leadership skills and her contributions to Koç Holding, the business world and the education of Turkish children. Suna Kıraç, who has been fighting the disease called ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) for 9 years and can communicate with her environment only with her eyes, continues to invest in service to her country with the Pera Museum she founded with her husband İnan Kıraç and the Istanbul Research Institute, which they opened on March 1, 2007. Suna Kıraç, who continues her work with the aim of bringing a world-class auditorium and cultural center to Istanbul, has sold more than 2006 books, published in 100.000, with all income donated to TEGV and edited by Rıdvan Akar. became one of the books that sold it.

Suna Kıraç, who has been struggling with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease since 2000, died in Istanbul at the age of 15 on September 2020, 79.
