METU Will Offer Distance Education

The Middle East Technical University (METU) Rectorate announced that, due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) pandemic, all courses will be continued with distance learning methods in the fall. The Rector's Office stated that the issue of granting additional deadlines for applied courses at the end of the transfer will be evaluated again according to the course of the pandemic.

ALL COURSES AT METU WILL BE IMPLEMENTED BY DISTANCE EDUCATION

In the statement made by the METU Rectorate, the University Senate convened on September 2020, 2021 with the agenda of determining the 4-2020 Academic Year Fall Term education procedure and that all courses will continue with distance education formulas in the fall term; It was stated that it was unanimously decided that the issue of granting additional time for lessons with practical hours at the end of the relevant period was re-evaluated according to the course of the pandemic.

In the decision, it was stated that all arrangements of fall semester courses in all academic units will be made using distance education methods. In the decision, it was stated that the use of an additional period of time, where the training can be continued face-to-face, will be evaluated according to the course of the pandemic.

The Higher Education Council (YÖK) stated in a letter sent to the university rectors that the Ministry of Health offered distance education in the fall semester.
