The decision regarding the re-appointment of Emrah Şener as the Vice President of the CBRT by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was published in the Official Gazette today.
In the statement made on the website of the CBRT, “Dr. Emrah Şener has been reassigned to this post with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated September 2, 2020 and numbered 31232 ”.
Who is Emrah Şener?
Emrah Şener, born in 1978, graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. After completing his MA in Economics and Finance at the London School of Economics, he received his PhD in Mathematical Finance from Imperial College London.
Şener started his career in the banking sector in 2003, after working at HSBC and Citibank in London, he became the Vice President of the Structured Products Group of Bank of America.
Republic of Turkey Ministry of Development was established in cooperation with Özyeğin University, he served as the Director of Istanbul within Risk Management Laboratory. Emrah Şener was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey on September 2, 2016. - Sputnik
