WHEN WILL YKS ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES BE MADE?
ÖSYM has not yet announced when the YKS additional preferences will be made. Information about additional placement will be made after the university registrations to be held between August 31 and September 5.
EMPTY QUOTAS ARE DETERMINED!
YKS announced the vacant quotas of ÖSYM, State University, Foundation University and other universities for candidates waiting to be placed with additional preferences. Here are the remaining quotas after the 2020 YKS placement procedures;
- State Universities Undergraduate Vacancies: 11.749
- Foundation universities vacant undergraduate quotas: 10.578
HOW WILL THE YKS ADDITIONAL PLACEMENT PROCEDURES BE DONE?
After the registration process for higher education programs is completed, the vacant quotas will be reported to ÖSYM by the universities. Additional Placement will be made centrally by ÖSYM for the quotas of higher education programs that are vacant at the end of the general placement made according to the results of 2020-YKS or not filled due to not enrollment. Candidates who are entitled to enroll in a Higher Education Institution in the first placement will not be able to apply for additional placement. In Additional Placement; Candidates with a score below the lowest scores in the central general placement will not be placed in associate and undergraduate programs.
UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION DATES ARE EXTENDED!
The Higher Education Council (YÖK) announced that the university registration dates were extended as a result of student requests. Here are the new dates announced by YÖK;
