He was born in Istanbul on October 11, 1928. British-born mother Olga Cynthia (after receiving the name was changed to the Republic of Turkey citizenship Precious Kent), his father was a diplomat Ahmet Naci Kentera. He graduated from Ankara State Conservatory Higher Section by skipping. He worked at the Ankara State Theater for eleven years.
