World's Oldest Man South African Blom Dies at 116

Fredie Blom, 116, living in South Africa, known as the oldest person in the world, passed away 4 months after celebrating his new age. Fredie Blom, who lost his family due to the Spanish flu in 1918 and claimed to be the oldest man in the world, died of a heart attack. 

Blom was born on May 8, 1904 in the town of Adelaide near East Cape, South Africa.
