The Number of Electric Cars Increased

Share of over 2000cc car sales continues to decline

Automobile sales below 1600cc increased by 60,6 percent and took a share of 94,8 percent, and automobile sales in the range of 1600-2000cc increased 20 percent and took a 2 percent share.

The share of automobile sales over 2000 cc decreased by 5 percent and was determined as 0,2 percent.

Autogas car sales increased by 80,9 percent

When evaluated by engine type in the automobile market as of the end of July, fuel-powered automobile sales had a 137 percent share with 446 units.

Diesel car sales had a share of 114 percent with 936 thousand 42,1 units, while the share of autogas car sales was 12 percent with 320 thousand 4,5 units. The share of electric and hybrid cars was determined as 3,1.

Fuel-oil automobile sales rose by 118,1 percent, autogas-powered cars by 80,9 percent and diesel car sales by 19,3 percent at the end of July compared to the previous year.

Increase trend in electric and hybrid vehicle sales continues

At the end of July, 191 electric and 8 hybrid cars were sold.

In this period, electric car sales increased by 99 percent and hybrid car sales increased by 47,3 percent compared to the same period of last year. Thus, the increasing trend in electric and hybrid vehicle sales continued.

Low tax cars preferred

At the end of July, 86,1 percent of the automobile market was composed of vehicles in the A, B and C segments with low tax rates.

C segment automobiles had a share of 169% with 464 units, and B segment automobiles had a share of 62,1% with 64 units. The most preferred body type in the automobile market was sedan cars with a share of 533 percent. Sedan cars were followed by the SUV with 23,6 percent and the hatchback with 44,4 percent.
