The Helicopter Company Receives 10 Airbus H125 Helicopters

The Helicopter Company (THC), wholly owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced today that it has signed an agreement with Airbus Helicopters to purchase 10 H125 helicopters. The deal is carried out as part of new services that meet the Kingdom's market demand and support the development of the aviation industry, while further expanding THC's fleet. 

Considered as a multi-mission helicopter, the Airbus H125 can carry up to six passengers and can be easily reconfigured to suit various requirements. THC will use the new planes included in its fleet for new services that include aviation work such as landscape tourism, movie shooting, poster shooting and aerial cartography.

THC CEO Captain Arnaud Martinez said about the acquisition agreement: “By signing this agreement, THC has taken a big step towards expanding its fleet and implementing its ambitious operational plans. PIF established THC as part of its strategy to mobilize new industries that support the realization of Vision 2030 in Saudi Arabia and generate long-term business returns. THC, the kingdom's first local commercial helicopter operator, has been providing private flights since mid-2019 and is now expanding its services with the addition of the H125 to its fleet. This new agreement will contribute to the development of Saudi Arabia's developing and increasingly dynamic tourism and aviation industries and will support the integration of the relevant value chains of each sector.
