Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Borisov, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov and other officials will also participate in the forum.

Strict measures regarding the epidemic will be implemented

At the forum to be held in the shadow of the coronavirus epidemic, the measures approved by the Russian Human Health and Consumer Protection Agency (Rospotrebnadzor) and the Ministry of Health will be implemented.

All attendees and visitors will be required to wear masks. Journalists who will follow the forum, as well as foreign delegations and visitors, need to document that their coronavirus tests are negative.

New gear will be on show

TsNIITochMash company will introduce 9 × 19mm pistols developed based on Udav army pistols, as well as Aspid and Poloz pistols.

The Visokotochnie Complex company under the Russian state defense industry company Rostec will present the MTs-96 weapon, a version of the OSV-567 sniper rifle developed for civilian use.

The Kalashnikov Cluster will unveil the new RPL-20 machine gun. This rifle is Russia's first smart rifle that can be synchronized with other devices. Almaz-Antey company will also show the Antey-4000 anti-aircraft missile system to the public for the first time.

The new generation T-14 Armata tank, Terminator armored combat vehicle, Typhoon armored vehicles, T-90M and T-80BVM tanks, K-17 Boomerang infantry vehicle, VPK-Ural multi-purpose armored vehicle, which were the stars of the previous Army forums, are among the equipment to be exhibited.

The Forum will also host discussion activities with the participation of military authorities, researchers and defense experts from many parts of the world.

Inter-Country Army Games also begin

Unlike previous years, this year Army and International Army games will start simultaneously. The games will end on September 5th. 32 teams from 156 countries will take part in 30 competitions.

Afghanistan, Qatar, Equatorial Guinea, Palestine, Namibia and Guinea will attend the event for the first time. 6 competitions within the scope of the games will take place in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Uzbekistan. All other competitions will be held in Russia.

The delegation of the event consists of delegations from 32 participating countries.

Tank Biathlon, the most spectacular competition of the games, will be held on the opening day. The first contributors are Belarus, Serbia, Azerbaijan and China. Russia will participate in the competition on 25 August and will compete against Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

More than 100 tanks were prepared for Russian and foreign teams to be used during the games. Belarus and China will use their own tanks in the competition.
