BursaRay It is a light rail system that connects the central districts and districts of Bursa in most of the east-west direction and its construction started in 1998. The project was built on turnkey basis by Yapı Merkezi. BURULAŞ is operated by the company affiliated to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. Bursa has significantly relieved urban transportation and traffic.
History
It was first launched in two lines in 2002. These lines are line 1 starting from Organize Sanayi and ending in Şehreküstü and line 2 starting from Küçük Sanayi and ending in Şehreküstü. These two lines formed the A phase. Stage A, which ended in Sehrekustu in 2008, has been extended to the caryatağı as B stage after a three-year construction and construction phase. The works started in 2009 ended in 2011 and the line was extended to Uludağ University. With the works that started in 2009 with the savings obtained from the project change in this line, the line was extended to Emek by adding 2 stations to Organize Sanayi, the last station.
Chronology
- July 8, 1998: The foundation of BursaRay was laid.
- 29 October 2001: BursaRay operation was opened.
- 23 April 2002: Passenger flights started at BursaRay A phase.
- June 2003: Electronic Ticket System was commissioned.
- 2 January 2005: BursaRay Phase 1 Stage B construction works started.
- April 6, 2008: BursaRay B stage started trips.
- 28 October 2008: BursaRay 2nd Stage construction works started.
- July 30, 2010: A test drive was carried out in 3 stations between Küçük Sanayi-Özlüce stations.
- 24 December 2010: Passenger services started at the 2nd Stage University Line at Altınşehir, Ertuğrul and Özlüce Stations.
- April 4, 2011: Tender for Phase D phase Kestel line was held.
- July 30, 2011: The foundation of the D-Stage Kestel line was laid.
- 19 September 2011: BursRay 2nd Stage University Line is opened to passenger train operation.
- 15 December 2011: BursaRay Phase 2 Mudanya Street extension was opened to passenger train operation.
- March 19, 2014: The first 3 stations (Mimar Sinan, Hacivat, Şirinevler and Otosansit) of Bursaray 4rd Stage Kestel line were opened for passenger train operation.
- March 26, 2014: The 3th and 5th stations of the 6rd Stage Kestel of Bursaray (Cumalıkızık - Değirmenönü and Gürsu) were opened for passenger train operation.
- June 5, 2014: Kestel station, the last station of Bursaray 3rd Stage Kestel line, opened.
Lines
Line 1 goes from Emek to Caryatağı and line 2 goes to Kestel starting from the University. The stations between Acemler-Arabayatağı are common for both lines.
Station Locations
There are a total of 1 stations, 5 of which are underground, in sections 23 and B of BursaRay. The total length of the two-line route is 22,043 km and is completely independent of the highway. There are Small Industry, Ataevler, Beşevler, Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Nilüfer stations on İzmir Street (West Line) and Organized Industry, Hamitler / Fethiye, Bağlarbaşı / Esentepe, İhsaniye and Karaman Stations on Mudanya Street (North Line). After the combination of the two lines, in the direction of Ankara Caddesi (East Line), respectively; There are Bursaspor, Paşa Farm, Sırameşeler, Kültürpark, Merinos, Osmangazi, Şehreküstü, Demirtaşpaşa, Gökdere, Yıldırım / Davutdede, Duaçınarı, Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and Arabayatağı Stations.
There are a total of 2 stations, one of which is underground, on the 1nd stage of the BursaRay University line. The station names are 6 km in length, respectively; University, Batıkent, Yüzüncüüyıl, Özlüce, Ertuğrul and Altınşehir. Two new stations were put into service with the extension of Mudanya Caddesi, and these stations are Korupark and Emek stations.
The 3rd phase of BursaRay is the D phase, which is the Gürsu - Kestel extension of the eastern phase. There are 7 stations, all of which are aboveground. The stations are; Mimar Sinan, Hacivat, Şirinevler, Otosansit, Cumalıkızık - Değirmenönü, Gürsu and Kestel.
- Stage C: It is 6,5 km long and consists of 6 stations. This stage is for line 2 Small IndustryIt is the stage that covers the extension from Uludağ University. The first 3 stations of the line were put into service on December 24, 2010. The remaining 3 stations were opened on 19 September 2011. Thus, direct transportation from Arabayatağı to Uludağ University started.
- Stage D: It is the line built from Arabayatağı to Kestel. Its construction started on 30 July 2011. The construction of the line was completed on June 5, 2014.
