German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has made a new cooperation in China for its electric vehicles. According to the statement, Mercedes, which signed an agreement with Chinese battery manufacturer CATL, aims to increase the range of its electric cars to 700 kilometers with the battery packs it will buy from CATL.
Mercedes currently has collaborations with other battery manufacturers such as SK Innovation, LG Chem and Farasis.
It is stated that the latest cooperation of the German brand includes the development of battery technologies and optimizing the battery systems in Mercedes' vehicles.
Last May, Mercedes invested $ 480 million in Chinese battery manufacturer Farasis Energy. It was noted that the company made its investment in speech in the name of not experiencing thought in the supply of batteries for its electric cars.
