The young pilots of Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, Cem Bölükbaşı and Yağız Gedik, who successfully represented our country in the GT4 European Championship, became a source of pride by taking the podium again in Misano.
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport started in the second leg races held in Misano last weekend, after the double podium opening race of the GT4 European Series, where it raced with two cars, in Imola. On the track where Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport competed many times in different championships for 13 years, Cem Bölükbaşı and Yağız Gedik duo competing in the number 12 car, as well as İbrahim Okyay, who competed in the 13th car, were at the wheel.
Cem Bölükbaşı and Yağız Gedik, who have become a good duo by showing a complete team spirit with their turquoise colored BMW M4 GT4s, continued to improve their duration since the test sessions held on Friday. Cem Bölükbaşı, the fastest BMW driver on the track in the qualifying tours held on Saturday, received great support from his followers by ranking 4th on the grid in the first race, which was also broadcast live on the GTWorld YouTube channel. Yağız Gedik, who took over the car at the pit stop, saw a checkered flag as the second of the group in the race marked by yellow flags.
Yağız Gedik, who started at the 15th place in the second race held on Sunday morning, showed a good performance and came to the pit stop at the 10th place and handed the car over to his teammate. Cem Bölükbaşı, who continued the job that Yağız Gedik started in the best way and continued to rise, finished second in his group and 4th in the general classification.
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, which raised our flag twice on the podium and received applause, will take its next start at the 5rd leg races to be held at the Nürburgring on September 6-3.
