Ankara - Sivas line
With this project, a double track, electric, signal high speed train railway is being constructed between Ankara - Kırıkkale - Yozgat - Sivas. The line is planned to be opened at the end of 2020.
It is planned to extend the Ankara - Sivas line to Kars and connect it to the Baku - Tbilisi - Kars railway. In this context, the Sivas - Erzincan high standard railway stage, which is 245 km long of the line, has been designed.
Bursa - Osmaneli line
It is a high standard railway line that will be integrated with Ankara - Istanbul YHD line when completed. Within the scope of the line, a high standard railway is being built between Bursa - Yenişehir - Osmaneli.
The line is built for a speed of 250 kilometers. However, even high-speed passenger trainszamIt is planned to run at a speed of 200 km / h. When the project is completed, the distance between Bursa and Bilecik is planned to decrease to 35 minutes. Polatlı - İzmir line
The line is planned to pass through Ankara, Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Manisa and İzmir cities respectively. After passing the Polatlı YHT, it will fork in the Kocahacılı neighborhood at the 120th km of the Polatlı - Konya YHD and proceed in the direction of Afyonkarahisar.
When the line is completed, the travel time between Ankara and Izmir is planned to be 3 hours 30 minutes and the travel time between Ankara and Afyonkarahisar is planned to be 1 hour 30 minutes.
High Speed Train Sets
Currently, there are two types of high-speed train sets, 19 in total, operating in the YHT service:
- 12 HT 65000 high speed train sets produced by CAF
- 7 pieces Siemens Velaro brand HT 80000 high-speed train sets manufactured by Siemens AG.
On April 13, 2018, a contract was signed with Siemens to purchase ten Velaro train sets. With this contract, the Turkish Velaro fleet will increase to 17 sets.

Features of the Sets
Each set includes front and rear control cabin wagons, economy class and business class passenger cars. Seating arrangements are 3 back-to-back seats in business class (1 on one side and 2 on the other) and 4 back-to-back seats (2 on each side) in economy class. There are 419 business class, 55 economy class, 354 cafeterias and 8 wheelchair sections in the sets with a total capacity of 2 passengers. Also, some HT80000 sets have 4-seat business class wagons.
Automatic sliding doors provide passage between wagons. The luggage can be placed in the upper parts of the seats, special sections in the wagon entrances or under the seats. Premium wagons have Wi-Fi service and power inputs for the laptop. All sets are wheelchair accessible (only private place in economy class). Economy class seats are covered in fabric and have audio connectors and folding tables. There are leather-covered seats in the business class, a visual and audio broadcasting system that can broadcast at least 4 hours on 4 different channels, and all wagons have LCD screens on the ceiling that broadcast road information and advertising. The toilets in the sets are specially designed to meet the needs of disabled passengers. Trains and platforms are designed in such a way that disabled people can travel comfortably. The sets have sound insulation to ensure low noise from the outside during the journey and a pressure balancing system to prevent possible ear disturbances of the passengers.
In terms of safety, they have speed and distance control signal equipment and a design that prevents the wagons from climbing on top of each other in possible accidents. The train has a total of 1 cameras, 4 of which is off the train, in the section where there are drivers, and there is also an "event recorder" similar to the one in the planes. In addition, there is a 'Totman' device that stops the train in case of sudden fainting or sudden deaths and a SICAS computer that instantly detects malfunctions. The system that automatically locks the entrance doors after the train moves, anti-aquaplaning system, emergency brake, GPRS module for malfunction and information transfer, obstacle detection system that prevents jamming at the entrance doors and fire detection system are other security systems in the trains.
YHT train and bus connections

Maintenance and repair
The maintenance of the sets is carried out in Etimesgut High Speed Train Main Maintenance Depot, located adjacent to Ankara Eryaman YHT Station.
