Following President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's announcement that the factory of the domestic car will be established in Bursa, the Automotive Industry Exporters Association Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School administration took action to meet the technical staff requirement in domestic car production.
The acceptance of the applications by the Ministry of National Education was met with enthusiasm by the school administration and students. With the step taken, in the 2020-2021 academic year, in addition to the Motor Vehicles area, "Electric Vehicle Production" part is also opened.
At the Automotive Industry Exporters' Association Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, where the technical staff needed in the automotive sector and especially in the domestic car will be trained, 270 students who are eligible to study at the school will be tested according to the LGS result this year.
Students who are successful in the exam will be placed in the relevant departments. Some students who graduate from the school will be provided with job guarantee thanks to the agreements made with the large automotive companies in the city, especially on the domestic car factory.

In Bursa, which is the center of the main automotive industry, there is a lot of interest in our vocational schools. One of the factors here is that the construction of the domestic electric car factory has started in Bursa and will start production in a short time, so high capacity employment will be realized.
The workers who will work there will be preferred especially in our school, vocational schools in our province and in other provinces. There is a strong paradigm shift in vocational and technical education under the leadership of our Ministry. In the past years, we had children who came with the mentality of "Attend Bari Vocational High School", and now our productive students and conscious parents who know what they want prefer our school. We have reached the 8 percent level. The interest in our school has increased, both thanks to the fact that our ministry is with us and the protocols with which our Provincial Directorate of National Education cooperates. Sezer stated that students were accepted to the school through the exam and said, “Our girls dormitory, which has never been opened because of this, will be opened this year. We had to increase the capacity of our male dormitory. The reason is that there are too many preferences outside the province. We are currently trying to meet the requirements. Stating that students who graduate from the school have employment guarantee, Sezer said, “Thanks to the cooperation protocols made, our children are guaranteed employment thanks to the collaborations within the school, as well as the practical trainings within the company, the slaughterhouse and the factory, which the main producer industries provide outside of their internship while in their education life. Talking about the value of the automotive high school, Sezer, “Our Ministry has determined 30 schools across the country as R&D centers. One of them is our school. It is a school established with an ideology that is expected to be innovative, entrepreneurial and pioneer in some studies in the automotive industry in the main ideology of our school. The name is the only school in Turkey in automotive school.
With the selection of this R&D center here, we will undertake different studies. In the project activities to be carried out on electric cars, we will conclude studies for mass production with innovative studies that will meet the needs of the society. she said.
