In these provinces, citizens aged 65 and over who are not first and second degree relatives of the bride and groom, and children under the age of 15 will be prohibited from attending weddings and ceremonies.

All kinds of food and beverage service will be temporarily suspended in public institutions and organizations across the country, except for cafeteria service and packaged water service.

Our Ministry sent a circular on Covid-81 measures to 19 Provincial Governorships. In this context, weddings (including getting a bride, henna, etc.), engagement, circumcision weddings, etc. It was reminded that it was requested that the activities be completed as soon as possible in all provinces and that the time limitations of the said activities held in the villages and / or streets will be determined by the provincial / district hygiene boards within the same day.

In the circular, it was stated that the course of the epidemic could be followed and additional measures could be taken on the provincial basis according to the increases and decreases with the circular previously sent to the governorships, and the measures taken were listed as follows:

In the provinces of Adana, Ankara, Ağrı, Bursa, Çorum, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Konya, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Van and Yozgat; circumcision wedding, henna night, engagement etc. events will not be allowed. Weddings and weddings in these provinces will be completed within a maximum of 1 hour. In accordance with Articles 27 and 72 of the Public Health Law, the necessary decisions will be taken by the governorships immediately and the implementation will be started as of August 26.

By showing the necessary sensitivity about the subject by the governors and district governorships, it will be ensured that the implementation is carried out completely within the specified framework.

An administrative fine will be imposed in accordance with Article 282 of the General Hygiene Law for those who do not comply with the measures. According to the situation of the violation, action will be taken in accordance with the relevant articles of the law, and the necessary legal proceedings will be initiated within the scope of Article 195 of the Turkish Criminal Code.
