A More Advanced ANKA UAV Delivered to the Naval Forces Command

Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI) continues unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) deliveries without slowing down. Currently, a new delivery of ANKA, which increases the instant target detection, identification, tracking and destruction capabilities of the Naval Forces Command over the sea, has been completed.

Delivered with new capabilities

As part of the Operative UAV Procurement Project, the 4th Anka UAV, whose acceptance tests were successfully completed, was delivered with new capabilities. SARPER +, SAR / ISAR / Naval Search Radar (Synthetic Aperture Radar), which can detect and detect surface and land targets remotely, detect and track moving targets, has been provided for the first time to the Naval Forces Command service on ANKA aircraft.

In addition, for the first time thanks to the Automatic Identification System (AIS: Automatic Identification System) capability integrated into the UAV, ANKAs, which have gained the ability to detect the identification information of all above sea elements at a distance of hundreds of miles, can instantly Command all radar, image and automatic identification system intelligence information. It can be forwarded to their center.

The modifications of the previously delivered 3 ANKA aircraft with the Automatic Identification System were also made by TAI with this delivery. Thus, a total of 2 ANKAs, 4 of which have SAR and EO / IR cameras delivered to the Navy, are used for 7/24 reconnaissance and surveillance missions at all our maritime borders from the Eastern Mediterranean to the North Aegean.

ANKA + studies continue

While TAI continues to develop existing ANKA UAV systems and add new capabilities, it also continues to work for the more advanced ANKA + model for the ANKA family.

ANKA +, which is an advanced model of ANKA, is expected to have a longer air stay and higher payload capacity. Integration of the Precision Guidance Kit (HGK) and Winged Guidance Kit (UPS) to ANKA + is expected.
