Akıncı TİHA's Second Prototype Completes Its First Flight

The second prototype of Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national facilities, successfully completed the first flight test held at Bayraktar AKINCI Flight and Training Center located in Çorlu Airport Command.

Stayed in the air for 1 hour and 2 minutes

As part of the System Verification and Identification Test, Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA's second prototype, which took off at 17.28, remained in the air for 01 hour 02 minutes during the test flight conducted under the direction of Baykar Technical Manager Selçuk Bayraktar. After the tests carried out in the sky, Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA's third flight test was successfully completed.

Tests will continue with two prototypes

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA's second prototype was transferred to Bayraktar AKINCI Test and Flight Training Center at Çorlu Airport Command to participate in the ongoing tests from Baykar National SİHA R&D and Production Center on May 7, 2020. Bayraktar Akıncı, which made its first flight on December 6, 2019 and the second flight on January 10, 2020, will continue with two prototypes in the TİHA project.

Selçuk Bayraktar: "May it be good and auspicious to our country and nation"

Baykar Technical Manager Selçuk Bayraktar, who managed the System Verification and Identification Test, in which Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA's second prototype participated, said in a statement while the test was continuing, “13 August 2020 Bayraktar Akıncı zamWe have now performed the System Verification and Identification Test. Our aircraft successfully completed all test phases. It has been in the air for about 52 minutes now. We will soon turn and start descending. "Good luck to our country and nation."

The first flight was made on December 6, 2019

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA realized its first flight on December 6, 2019. As part of the test, he successfully put one on the runway after 16 minutes of flight. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which performed a 10 hour 2020 minute flight for the System Verification Test on January 01, 06, had completed the test at an altitude of 5 thousand feet.

3.The prototype is on the way

The integration process of the third prototype of the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA project, in which the first delivery is planned to be carried out by the end of the year, continues at the Baykar National SİHA R&D and Production Center. The third prototype will be sent to Çorlu Airfield Command to perform test flights after the integration is completed.

Bayraktar Akıncı System General Information

Baykar, who carried out an intense work on Bayraktar Akıncı, also known as "flying fish", zamand the activities for the first flight of the second prototype continue.

Akıncı TİHA, which is longer and wider than Bayraktar TB2, will have a wingspan of 20 meters with its unique twisted wing structure and will be able to carry many national smart ammunition. Akıncı will also be more intelligent and more aware of environmental conditions thanks to its unique artificial intelligence system, and will offer its users advanced flight and diagnostic functions.

Akinci, which aims to be a leader in its class, like the TB2, will also perform some of the tasks performed by the fighter jets. It will serve with much more advanced useful loads such as electronic support pod, satellite communication systems, air-air radars, obstacle detection radar, and synthetic aperture radar. Air bombardment can also be carried out with Akıncı, which will reduce the burden of warplanes. Akıncı UAV, which will be equipped with air-air missiles developed nationally in our country, will also be used in air-air missions.

Bayraktar Akıncı Offensive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System, which is tried to become the most advanced technological system in its class, is produced locally and nationally, MAM-L, MAM-C, Javelin, L-UMTAS, Bozok, MK-81, MK-82, MK- 83, Winged Guidance Kit (KGK) -MK-82 will be equipped with ammunition, missile and bomb such as Gökdoğan, Bozdoğan, SOM-A.

Bayraktar Akıncı can go up to an altitude of 40 thousand feet, stay in the air for 24 hours, and its useful load carrying capacity reaches up to 350 kilograms. With these features, Akıncı will be able to perform some of the tasks performed by warplanes and reduce the burden of warplanes.
