The Foundation of the Domestic Automobile Factory Is Launched on July 18

Turkey's automobile Enterprise Group (TOGG), for the production of the domestic automobile Bursa is preparing to begin construction on the land allocated in Gemlik.

It was learned that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will come to Bursa on Saturday, July 18 to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the TOGG domestic automobile factory. The construction start date is expected to be Saturday, July 18 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The construction of the factory, which is expected to produce fully electric SUV and sedan model in 2022, is expected to be completed in 18 months.

2 thousand people will work in the construction of the factory, which will be owned by TOGG, in the military area in Gemlik Gençali District. During the operational phase, it is envisaged to employ 2023 thousand 2 people for 420 and 2032 4 people until 323. The total cost of the project is 22 billion liras. The project area is allocated to TOGG for 49 years, while 50 trucks in construction; 10 tower cranes, five mobile cranes, five excavators, five piling machines, 20 mixers, 3 concrete pumps and five jet grout machines will be used. It was learned that a limited number of guests will be included in the ceremony within the scope of corona virus measures. President Erdoğan is expected to open the Gökmen Space Aviation Center in Bursa on the same day.
