A contract amendment was signed between ASELSAN and Defense Industry Directorate for the FIRAT-M60T project contract. In addition to the additional capabilities provided to M60T tanks under the amendment of the contract, it was aimed to improve the defense capabilities of the tanks in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory.
In the tank modernizations carried out by ASELSAN within the scope of the FIRAT-M60T project, besides increasing the firing power and survivability capabilities, the systems, whose product warranty periods are completed, provide three-year performance warranty service. ASELSAN provides on-site maintenance and repair services during the product warranty and performance warranty period and carries out factory-level maintenance and repair activities.
ASELSAN operates 7/24 within the scope of the project, and ASELSAN intervenes in the maintenance and repair notifications received from the user personnel within an average of 24 hours, thereby improving both customer satisfaction and tank maintenance capabilities.
A unique product support strategy has been developed for ASELSAN products in the M60T tanks covered by the product and performance guarantee, and it is aimed to ensure that the critical products used in the operation region are ready for a high level of mission.
The contract signed by ASELSAN SST Sector Presidency includes Microelectronic Guidance and Electro-Optics (MGEO) and Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems (REHİS) Sector Presidencies as stakeholders.
