Hyundai Assan has developed a new level of equipment for its representative in the B-SUV segment, KONA. The hardware level called “SMART”, which is offered for sale in the second half of July, offers many features that promise high comfort to its users on long journeys in the city.
KONA, which has become the distinctive SUV of its segment with its design and powerful engine options since the first day it was put on sale, will become the center of attraction for price-performance oriented customers with its new SMART hardware package. Refreshed with the new hardware level SMART, KONA's 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, electrically retractable glass roof and 7-inch Multimedia Entertainment & Voice Control System (Bluetooth) stand out as their first striking features.
Features such as rear parking sensor, rear view camera and rear armrest offered at Hyundai KONA SMART are listed as additions to the entry level.
For now, Hyundai KONA SMART can only be purchased with a 1.6 liter diesel engine and a 7-speed DCT transmission. Hyundai's newly developed Smartstream 1.6-liter diesel engine also offers a highly efficient turbocharger performance with a significant reduction in friction rate. In general, the structure of the engine is optimized by applying light materials. This means significant weight reduction and lower engine noise. KONA, which has a quieter and lower vibration level than its competitors, thus reminds more gasoline models than a diesel engine.
