Works Start Again at Dudullu Bostancı Metro

IMM is activating another metro project that is still under construction. The works of Dudullu-Bostancı Metro, which is integrated with the three rail system line and sea transportation, resumes with a ceremony to be held on Friday, July 10 with the participation of President Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is adding a new one to the metro that it has started to rebuild in Istanbul. Following the Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli, Ümraniye-Göztepe-Ataşehir and Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla metro lines, the construction of which was previously restarted, the Dudullu-Bostancı line will also be activated again. It will be held. The ceremony will include İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, İBB bureaucrats and contractors' managers.

While there is 63 percent physical progress, the line, which has been suspended, consists of 13 stations. With the project passing through Maltepe, Kadıköy, Ataşehir and Ümraniye districts, 88 thousand 800 passengers will be able to travel per hour. The line, which will reduce the distance between Dudullu and Bostancı to 21 minutes, will be integrated with the following points:

  • Sea transportation at Bostancı station
  • Marmaray Line at Bostancı station
  • Kadıköy-Kartal-Tavşantepe Line at Kozyatağı station
  • Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy Line at Dudullu Station

The project, which will significantly ease the transportation of the Anatolian side, is aimed to be completed and put into service at the end of 2021.
