Tiguan, the most preferred SUV of the European market and Volkswagen's most successful model worldwide, has been renewed.
The new Tiguan, where its characteristic and iconic design is more prominent, is planned to be offered with efficient and high performance TSI and TDI engine options.
Innovations that make the new Tiguan attractive include technological features such as next-generation driving assistance systems, digitized front panel and steering control controls and LED matrix headlights with "IQ Light" technology.
Tiguan, which laid the foundation of Volkswagen's SUV model strategy with its second generation launched in 2016 and inspired many models, is produced in four Volkswagen plants worldwide.
Tiguan, which is the most successful model of the entire Volkswagen Group, with more than 6 million pieces produced until today and with a production of approximately 2019 thousand pieces in 911, aims to continue this success with its renewed design. The new Tiguan attracts attention with its more digital and modern design.
Fully renewed front design
In the exterior of the new Tiguan, the front profile, which has been completely renewed, draws attention. While the front view is strengthened with the new Volkswagen logo on the radiator grille, the new Tiguan is wider than it is thanks to the complementary design of the radiator grille and the LED headlights. The front and rear bumpers have been completely renewed, resulting in a more striking design line. The “Tiguan” text on the tailgate has taken its place under the new Volkswagen logo. The 4-wheel drive system has also been redesigned with 4MOTION in versions with XNUMXMOTION technology.
The new “IQ. LED matrix headlights with Light ”technology
IQ.LIGHT - LED matrix headlights with advanced lighting technology are used for the first time in the New Tiguan. Following the traces of Touareg, Passat and Golf, New Tiguan is the fourth Volkswagen with this LED lighting system, considered one of the best in its kind in the world. The 24 LEDs located in each headlight module work integrated with each other according to road and driving conditions in order to provide optimum lighting. Dynamic versions of the IQ LED Matrix headlamps also feature dynamic front signals. The stop group with LED technology is getting a completely new design. The LED "High" taillights with the new design offered as standard at the level of elegance and R-line equipment also include the dynamic signal feature.
New generation infotainment system (MIB3)
In the new Tiguan, the buttons on the steering wheel and the control panel are replaced by the digital touch controls. The center console features a brand new touch panel for climate control functions. In addition to the touchpads, there are also “touch sliders” for ventilation and air conditioning control. At the R-Line equipment level, the multifunctional leather steering wheel with the new design, with pleasantly illuminated touchpads, is remarkable. Illuminated USB-C ports are located under the air conditioner module.
Another new feature: Applications can now be integrated wirelessly to the car via "App-Connect Wireless" using the "Apple CarPlay" and "Android Auto" functions.
New driving assistance systems
The brand roof for Volkswagen's state-of-the-art driving assist systems, IQ.DRIVE takes the driving experience a step further in the new Tiguan, the semi-autonomous driving assistant "Travel Assist". This system, which is used for the first time in Tiguan, can take over steering, braking and acceleration up to 210 km / h. Using the Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane tracking assistant “Lane Assist” functions, the system can be activated with a single button on the steering wheel. When the system is activated, it is enough for the driver's hands to touch the steering wheel with surfaces containing touch sensors.
Harman Kardon sound system
The new Tiguan features a Harman / Kardon sound system, which provides an optional high-quality sound experience. The sound system delivers 480 watts of power to ten speakers for an enjoyable music experience. The sound can be individually configured using four preset sound profiles.
Efficient and powerful engine options
The new Tiguan can be preferred with 1.5 different TSI power units in 2 lt volume. The version with 150 PS engine power is offered with a 7-speed DSG transmission, while the version with 130 PS power is offered with manual gear. The diesel engine also has a 2.0 PS TDI option with a volume of 150 lt. High efficiency levels, low emissions and strong torque stand out in all engines. The new Tiguan's, Life, Elegance and R-Line is scheduled to be launched in the last quarter of the year in Turkey with new versions of hardware.
