The Grooved Minaret (Grand Mosque of Antalya) is one of the first Islamic buildings in Antalya. It is a 13th century Seljuk artifact.
Architectural
Its base is made of cut stone. The body is made of brick and turquoise colored tiles. It has 8 grooves. The minaret has become the symbol of the city of Antalya today. It is 38 m high and can be reached by a 90-step ladder. Some of the fluted minarets consist of brick and turquoise colored tiles. Because of its grooves, it is called the Grooved Minaret.

It is a collection of works in Kalekapısı district consisting of many Seljuk works. The buildings in the complex are: Yivli Minaret, Yivli Mosque, Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev Madrasa, Selçuklu Madrasa, Mevlevihane, Zincirkıran Tomb and Nigar Hatun Tomb. Historical
Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev Madrasa was founded by Atabey Armağan in 1239. It was built in the name of Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev. An XIII across the door of this work. There are ruins of the Seljuk Madrasa, which are believed to be a century work. Zincirkıran Mausoleum is in the upper garden north of the Fluted Minaret. It is in Seljuk style. However, it has the character of Ottoman Tombs with its plain surface, its windows, and the graveyard in its lower level. It was built in 1377 and protects 3 tombs. Nigâr Hatûn Tomb is in the north of Yivli Mosque. The Mausoleum, built on a hexagonal plan, has a simple appearance. The tomb, which is in the Seljuk style, dates from 1502. The building located to the west of the Zincirkıran Mausoleum is Mevlevihane and it is believed to have been built in 1225 by I. Alaeddin Keykubad. His inscription has been lost. It was repaired. Today it is used as a fine arts gallery.
