Ford and Volkswagen will collaborate with electric and commercial vehicles for the production of driverless vehicles.

Cooperation agreements have been signed on projects for electric vehicles, commercial vehicles and driverless vehicles.

Under the Agreement, Ford Motor will produce new electric vehicles for Europe, starting in 2023 using Volkswagen's modular electric driving tool set.

Volkswagen will also produce a city van engineered by Ford and a 1-ton cargo van. Production of a pickup will also begin in 2022 using the Ford Ranger platform.

In this context, the two companies will produce 8 million commercial vehicles.

COST REDUCTIONS

Ford and Volkswagen announced in January 2019 that they will partner with driving and technologies, electric cars and light commercial vehicles.

In this way, both producers will reduce their cost by billion dollars. Ford said in a statement that last year's agreement will be further expanded and said it is working on a new electric model for the European market.

It is said that 2023 thousand units of electric vehicle will be produced by 600.
