ASELSAN SERHAT Continues to Deliver Mobile Mortar Detection Radar

Turkish Presidency Defense Industry President İsmail Demir announced that SERHAT Mobile Mortar Detection Radar deliveries continue.

Aselsan delivered the fifth party of SERHAT to the Turkish Armed Forces in December 2019 after the acceptance examination tests. Other deliveries under the contract are planned to be completed in 2020.

The SERHAT Mobile Mortar Detection Radar system in the TAF inventory is a radar system with a 360 ° burnout coverage that calculates the estimated exit and fall locations of the bullets by detecting and tracking the mortars on the line of sight. The system has a modular design and can be used on a tripod, by placing it on the tower / building, or on an elevated mast in the vehicle. SERHAT was developed by ASELSAN for the detection and tracking of mortar shots.

In a statement made by ASELSAN to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) in June 2018; It announced that a contract was signed between ASELSAN and the Ministry of National Defense for the purpose of supplying the Mobile Mortar Detection Radar needed by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), amounting to USD 40 million 320 thousand.

Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. with ASELSAN In order to meet the need of the Air Force Command, a contract regarding the supply of Mortar Detection Radar was signed in June 2017 and within this scope, SERHAT Systems were delivered in December 2017.
