Elegant, flashy and unique: The new Porsche 911 Targa. Combining the driving pleasure of a cabriolet with the comfort of a coupé vehicle, Porsche's new 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S models continue their 55-year journey. These two models, which have the third different body option after the Coupé and Cabriolet, benefit from the increased power provided by the four-wheel drive, 911-cylinder and 6-liter twin-turbo powered engines.
The innovative, fully automatic roof system in the new Targa model of the Porsche 911 model family continues to be the most distinctive feature. As in Targa's first and legendary model in 1965, again, it has a characteristic wide roll bar, a movable roof above the front seats and a wraparound glass on the back. The ceiling can be easily opened and closed in 19 seconds.

Both models are equipped with a twin turbocharged, 6-cylinder, 3-liter engine. This engine provides 911 PS of power to the 4 Targa 385 model and produces 450Nm of torque. In conjunction with the optional Sport Chrono package, the engine accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in just 10 seconds, 4,2 percent faster than its previous generation. Both sports cars feature an 8-speed dual clutch transmission (PDK) and a smart all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management System (PTM) as standard for maximum driving pleasure. Alternatively, the 911 Targa 4S can be purchased with the newly developed 7-speed manual transmission, including the Sport Chrono package. New technologies appear to be integrated to expand the range of features of both 911 models. Thanks to the enhanced Smartlift function, ground clearance can be programmed for daily use. The option list is supported by the wide range of Porsche Tequipment original equipment and the customization options offered by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur concept.
Better driving dynamics, comfort and safety
The electronically controlled variable damping system PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is part of the standard equipment in the new 911 Targa models. This system automatically adjusts damping characteristics in terms of driving comfort and handling, according to each driving situation, and has two modes that can be manually adjusted, Normal and Sports. Porsche Torque Routing (PTV Plus), which includes an electronic rear differential lock with fully variable torque distribution, is offered as standard equipment for the Targa 4S and optional equipment on the Targa 4 model. Like other eighth-generation Porsche 911 models, Targa models also offer the new Porsche Wet Mode (Wet Mode) as standard. Sensors installed in the front wheel wells are able to detect water on the road surface, and if a significant amount of water is detected, a signal in the cockpit suggests that the driver switch to Wet mode manually. Driving precision is then adapted to the conditions to guarantee maximum driving stability.
A modern interpretation, a sleek Targa design
The exterior of 911 Targa carries the characteristic design elements of the 992 model generation. Compared to previous models, its body has more prominent wheel slots from the front, while its hood features a distinctive recess that is among the LED headlights and evokes the design of the first 911 generations. The wider, variablely extending rear spoiler at the rear and the elegantly integrated light bar show itself. All external structure aluminum, except front and back sections.
The interior of the car reflects the 911 Carrera models, and the clear and straight lines of the dashboard and recessed instrument panels stand out in the interior. The 1965 model year 911 Targa 2.0 pioneered the birth of a brand new car. Targa, originally marketed as a "safe cabriolet", soon became a stand-alone concept with its removable roof, and indeed became a style icon.
