YHT Expeditions Due To Kovid-19 Restarted

Minister Karaismailoğlu attended the ceremony held in Ankara YHT Station due to the resumption of the train services stopped due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) outbreak.

Speaking with the passengers who came to buy tickets, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated in his speech that the train services were restarted this morning with the normalization process and that the first flight was carried out from Ankara to Istanbul.

Stating that a difficult period was passed due to Kovid-19, Karaismailoğlu said that the social distances intervening, restrictions experienced for preventive purposes deeply affect social and economic life.

Explaining that their priority as a ministry is human health and taking high-level measures in line with the recommendations of the Scientific Committee, Karaismailoğlu said, "No virus is stronger than our measures." reminded his words.

Reminding that they stopped flights with international countries, seaways and railways, especially in the first days when the epidemic started to spread around the world, Karaismailoğlu said:

“We have started disinfection before and after the voyage in all public transportation vehicles such as high speed trains, conventional trains, Marmaray and Başkentray, especially our planes. We have instructed bus companies and businesses at the stops where buses take a break to take all kinds of health precautions and provide the necessary hygiene. Said studies, the arrival in Turkey of the disease was significantly delays the process and allows us to better prepare for the epidemic. "

“We did not lose health and hygiene measures in the pandemic process”

Karaismailoğlu emphasized that they have achieved great and appreciated success as a country with the measures taken, and that they have entered the normalization process, as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, they have not lost their health and hygiene measures during the pandemic process and thus they are not surprised by the targets.

“We are taking another important step in the normalization process. We are restarting our YHT voyage, taking the first train from Ankara to Istanbul. ” Karatmailoğlu said that the flights of YHT, which have been restarted, will be 16 times a day in the morning on the Ankara-Istanbul, Ankara-Eskişehir, Ankara-Konya and Konya-Istanbul lines.

Noting the social distance rules and the isolation of the trains, Karaismailoğlu stated that the passengers will run their seats at 50% capacity, leaving the side seats empty, and said:

“For this reason, we will serve 411 passengers in our CAF type sets with 185 passenger capacity and 483 passengers in our Siemens type sets with 213 passenger capacity. There is no increase in ticket prices because our trains run at 50 percent capacity. Hopefully we will start to realize our trips with our domestic production 'National Electric Train' as soon as possible. Taking high level hygiene and health measures in all our lines is our top priority. Our only goal is to bring our citizens to their destination in the safest way they want to go, and to have their loved ones healthy. ”

Pointing out that there are some obligations that citizens must fulfill in the new process, Karaismailoğlu continued as follows:

“As our President emphasizes every time, mask, distance and cleansing are indispensable for the 'new normal'. For this reason, it will be mandatory to wear masks at all stations, trains and trains. A valid HEPP Code and travel permit will be requested from our citizens who want to travel by YHT. Our citizens will receive their HEPP Codes from the Ministry of Health's mobile application or via SMS. When the HEPP code is determined to be valid, tickets can be sold. The 'Travel Permit Certificate' issued for travel to our provinces with entry-exit ban will be checked by our officials on boarding the train. Travels of those who cannot submit this document or ticket holders whose documents are invalid will be canceled. Our passengers who show signs of disease at the stations and ticket control points will definitely not be taken to the train, and their ticket prices will be refunded without interruption. ”

“Food and Buffet Services Will Not Be Provided On Trains”

Emphasizing that every passenger will be seated on the seat of his ticket and that displacements will not be allowed, Karaismailoğlu said that passengers who show Kovid-19 signs during the trip will be taken to the isolation section on the train and delivered to the healthcare staff at the first station that is convenient.

Explaining that there will be no food and buffet service against the Kovid-19 risk on trains, Karaismailoğlu said that all the personnel serving at the stations, stations and trains will be provided in appropriate conditions against the epidemic risk, and that the trains will be thoroughly cleaned and hygienic before each time.
