With the start of the passage of wagons loaded from Marmaray, the first uninterrupted export from Anatolia to Tekirdağ was realized. With the ceremony organized with the participation of Governor Yıldırım, the first export material loaded container trucks to be transported from Tekirdağ Train Station to ASYAPORT port was loaded on the trucks and headed for ASYAPORT Port.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Yıldırım said, “Today is a historical day for Tekirdağ, Ahmet Soyuer Bey provides significant added value to both Tekirdağ and the country's economy. It is the first time that freight is transported in containers here. The containers here can now be delivered to the four corners of the world by loading them from ASYAPORT Port. Actually, this is our first train to Süleymanpaşa, but the second train used by ASYAPORT, the previous train came to Çorlu. In the train coming to Çorlu, the materials required for a company in the European Free Zone were supplied. After these trains will create more added value we will see more and our Turkey. I thank Mr. Ahmet Soyuer in the presence of you all. The port will grow and a lot of work has been done on it. Grows up zamI hope when Tekirdag, Turkey will provide more added value. Our Tekirdağ is a city with a capacity to become a logistics base in the future. We strive to make Tekirdağ a logistic center with our institutions. " said.
