Precautions Regarding Private Kindergartens to Be Opened on June 1st Announced

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services announced the measures to be taken in private kindergartens, children's clubs and day-care centers, which were granted an opening permit and will start operating on 1 June.

Following the announcement of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the organizations in question will open on June 1, the kindergartens, day nurseries and children's clubs, whose activities were suspended on March 19 due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-16), are getting ready for service. In this context, the guideline regarding the rules and precautions to be followed by the private nurseries, day nurseries and child clubs, which are given and inspected by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, were sent to the provinces by the Directorate General of Child Services.

In the manual, measures to be taken for organizations, children, parents and services are listed in detail. Accordingly, safety and hygiene conditions suitable for child acceptance will be provided in organizations, organizations will be completely disinfected before starting service and documents related to this process will be forwarded to provincial directorates. It will be determined whether the children enrolled in the organization will continue to receive services and from which date the service receivables will continue.

Maximum 10 Children in a Group

In private nurseries, children's clubs and day-care centers, the number of groups will be reduced, with a maximum of 10 children in one group. There will be a maximum of 10 children at the same time in the common areas.

Children will go to the dining hall with their own groups, and if they sit at the same table, there will be a distance of at least 1,5 meters between them. At least 1,5 meters will be left between the camps or beds of the children during the sleeping time.

The Same Children Will Come Together in All Areas

In private kindergartens, day nurseries and children's clubs that are opened and inspected by the Ministry, the same children will be together every day in all living spaces. Transition between groups will not be allowed, and staff responsible for groups will not be in contact with other groups.

Attention will be paid to the social distance rule between all service areas in the organization, staff and children.

Ventilation every 40 minutes, cleaning at least twice a day

Hygiene stations will be established at a height that is out of reach of children in common areas, and hand disinfectant apparatus will be placed at the designated points. Cleaning of surfaces such as door handles, lighting buttons that are frequently touched by hands and toilets and sinks in common areas will be done at least twice a day.

Tools such as toys used in the establishment building and activities will be cleaned with disinfectant materials that are found suitable by the health units every evening. Gloves will be used when cleaning the room, gloves will be removed immediately after cleaning the room and thrown into the trash. After the gloves are removed, hands will be washed with water and soap or rubbed with a hand antiseptic. The cleaning cloths of each room will be separate. The rooms will be ventilated every 40 minutes.

Kitchen equipment will be washed with water and detergent after each use, and will be stored in a clean environment until the next use. In addition, all disinfection procedures and materials used will be recorded.

Visual materials will be used in the establishment for new hygiene and hand washing perception. The groups will be taken to the garden alternately and the group rooms will be cleaned. In cases where air conditioning is mandatory, air conditioners will be maintained regularly. Garbage will be stored and disposed according to hygiene rules.

Toy, Book Change Will Not Be Made

Materials such as toys and books will not be accepted to institutions. No activities such as toys, book exchanges, etc. will be held. Except for compulsory cases, parents and visitors will not be accepted.

Registration admission procedures where children are not served in the institution zamwill be done in moments. Parent meetings and organizations to be held with the participation of foreign people inside or outside the organization will be suspended. In case of need, parent meetings will be held in a virtual environment.

Decisive signs will be placed at the entrance of the establishment in order to ensure that the parents comply with the social distance while leaving their children. An isolation room will be created for each organization in case of detection of personnel and children matching the suspicious case definition. Updates to Kovid-19 will be added to the civil defense plans and will be reported to the provincial directorates.

The Outfits Worn by the Personnel Inside and Outside the Organization Will Be Different

Personnel who show symptoms of illness or have a history of contact will not be started. The director of the organization will be informed about Kovid-19 and its ways of protection, and information will be recorded.

At the entrance of the staff, the fever will be recorded with a remote thermometer. All of the staff of the organization will use masks, masks will be changed at regular intervals. In addition to the dining and cleaning staff, gloves will also be used.

The clothes that the staff wear inside and outside the organization will be different. Personnel will not leave the organization during working hours. Personnel indicating the disease will be taken to the isolation room and will be directed to the health institution with all measures.

It Will Not Be Allowed To Use Each Other's Items

Children with flu or similar infectious diseases will not be accepted into the organization. Children with chronic diseases will be identified and necessary precautions will be taken at the establishment.

The clothes and shoes that children will wear outside and inside the organization will be different and their hands will be cleaned with soap and water. At the entrance to the establishment, when leaving the establishment and every 4 hours during the day, children's fever will be measured and recorded with a schedule. Children with fever will not be accepted into the organization.

Children will not be allowed to use each other's belongings, and equipment such as campets and blankets will be provided for the child.

Children will be taught social distance with games, 20 seconds of hand washing will be encouraged using age-appropriate methods, and trainings will be given on proper health behaviors such as regular hand washing, sneezing to the elbow.

Diseases, ways of transmission and matters to be considered will be explained with games and in accordance with children's age and developmental characteristics. After coming to the establishment, the child who has a fever during the day or shows any signs of illness will be taken to the isolation room and delivered to his family with appropriate measures. The family will be directed to the health institution and the result will be monitored.

Families will not bring children who show signs of disease to the organization

Families will not bring children with sickness, fever or symptoms. The family will be informed about the Kovid-19 in case of detection.

It will be recorded by measuring the daily fever of the children. The family will take the child showing the symptoms of the disease to the health institution, and the health status of the child will be reported to the institution. Families who will send their children to the organization with a shuttle vehicle will check and follow whether the necessary measures are taken for the shuttle vehicle.

Carrying Capacity of Service Vehicles Will Be Planned According to Social Distance

Service personnel who show signs of illness or have a contact history will not be started. Before and after each service, cleaning and hygiene will be provided, especially on the frequently contacted surfaces of the service vehicles.

The children who use the service will be reduced to contact with the surfaces inside the vehicle as much as possible. The carrying capacity of the service vehicles will be planned considering the social distance. Hand disinfectants will be placed at the vehicle entrances.

During the journey, the driver and guide personnel will wear a mask.

There are a total of 32 thousand 542 in Turkey nursery. 8 percent of these nurseries serve under the supervision of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services and 84 percent are subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
