Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate will continue the social distance rule within the scope of the "Summer Season Traffic Precautions" to be implemented between 1 June and 1 October. EGO General Directorate, which is preparing to provide full capacity service in the process where the use of masks will be required while updating the flight hours in the Rail Systems, will also provide additional bus supplements to the regions where the density is experienced.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate will implement "Summer Traffic Measures" in the city between June 1 and October 1.

In Başkent, where the use of masks will be mandatory and the social distance rule will continue to be applied, full capacity service will be provided by meeting the occupancy criteria in public transport vehicles.

ALL MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN EGO BUSES

Explaining that within the scope of the measures to be taken against the coronavirus epidemic, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will act according to the "Summer Traffic Measures" circular, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş gave the following information about the new working order:

“Since the first time the pandemic, which has become a global threat, appeared in our country, we have tried to apply everything we can as the public authority responsible for public transportation in Ankara within the framework of the instructions of our Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Mansur Yavaş. We think we gave a good exam in this process. We have made all our preparations in this process, which we can call the new opening process as of June 1, within the framework of the statements of our President. ”

Stating that, with the normalization process, citizens take the necessary precautions to travel healthy, Alkaş made the following evaluations:

“With our 540 buses, we make 49 flights a day from 5 departure points and 8 bus zones. We have a fleet serving 800 lines in total. In order not to cause any problems in terms of compliance with social distance, we will continue to serve in our full capacity, within our current possibilities. Not only us, but also Private Public Buses and Private Public Transport Vehicles that we have given permission and license will make an effort to transport our passengers in the healthiest and in accordance with the pandemic rules. "

OFFICE HOURS UPDATED

 Başkent residents, who will move to a step-by-step social life starting from June 1 in Başkent, will be able to use public transportation vehicles that are regularly disinfected.

EGO General Directorate, which makes preparations according to the circular for public transportation vehicles operating within the city and intercity, published by the Ministry of the Interior, also updated the departure times. Within the scope of coronavirus precautions, EGO General Directorate, which has been rigorously reviewing all kinds of details in order to ensure a healthy and comfortable transportation for citizens, has updated the clock in ANKARAY and Metro Enterprises.

Expressing that they will provide full capacity not only in EGO buses but also in rail systems, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş said, “In Ankara, we will use the largest capacity as much as possible in Rail Systems, which have a total of 1 kilometers along with M2, M3, M4, M64 Metro and ANKARAY. . We will strive to carry our passengers comfortably and in a healthy way in accordance with social distance, by increasing the frequency of flights and giving more weight to the number of trips during the peak hours we apply in normal periods. EGO General Directorate will also provide additional bus reinforcements in regions where there will be intensity in order to prevent the capital residents from suffering in any way.
