When developing the GR Yaris, Toyota and Tommi Mäkinen Racing worked on keeping the vehicle as light as possible with perfect aerodynamics and weight distribution. As a result, they managed to build a vehicle with a performance and fun driving character.

The completely new three-cylinder turbo-powered engine of GR Yaris has been developed using motorsport technologies to give maximum performance. The 1,618 cm3 volume engine can transfer 261 HP power and 360 Nm torque together with the 6-speed gearbox. In addition, the new GR Yaris managed to stay within the B-segment borders with a weight of 1,280 kg. Completing the 4.9-0 km / h acceleration in 100 seconds with a power / weight ratio of 5,5 HP per kilogram, the maximum speed of 2020 GR Yaris is limited to 230 km / h.

GR Yaris users will also be able to purchase an optional Track Package for greater performance. This package comes with a limited slip differential on the front and rear axles, performance-oriented suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels.
