The Route Changes in Mersin Metro; Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer made important statements regarding the Metro project, which is of great importance for Mersin, at the event organized by the Women's Family and Child Department and invited by female headmen across the province. Expressing that they will prepare a project that will both change the route of the metro and reduce the cost, Mayor Seçer said that the Metro line will extend to the City Hospital, the new bus station and the university.
Transportation to the City Hospital and Bus Station by Metro
Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Vahap Seçer made important statements about the Metro project which will bring a radical solution to the transportation problem of Mersin in the meeting with the women mukhtars.
For the Metro projects prepared in previous periods, a Metro line between Mezitli and Gar was planned to be constructed. City Hospital, new bus station and Mersin University were not involved in these projects. Mayor Vahap Seçer stated that they will prepare a new Metro project including this 3 point by considering the passenger potential and said, “Metro will be certain. We're probably launching next week. City Hospital and bus station line from the surface of the subway, the fairground junction will be the tram to the University. It is not the Mezitli-Gar line over Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard. We said let's enter the Mediterranean. Mediterranean will also benefit from Metro. It will start from the old bus station and pass through the Siteler, to the City Hospital and from there to the new bus station ”.
