In addition to its budget size and technical features, the Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line Project symbolizes Turkey’s geographical connection to the EU with its route extending from our country’s Bulgarian border to Istanbul. A new record will be broken by using an EU grant of 275 million Euros for the construction of the Çerkezköy-Kapıkule Section of the Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line Project, the foundation of which we will be laying. The labor force that will be needed during the construction works, which will last approximately 4 years, will be provided from the region, as in our other projects.
